he New Americans Campaign (NAC), a Carnegie Corporation grantee, is a groundbreaking national network of legal-service providers, faith-based organizations, businesses, foundations, and community leaders that is paving a better road to citizenship. It is currently driving a national, nonpartisan citizenship campaign throughout the country, focused on eight major cities with large numbers of citizenship-eligible residents. Throughout the year, the NAC sponsors daylong workshops in these cities to assist immigrants who are seeking to become citizens. Carnegie Corporation has partnered with the NAC to follow the stories of selected workshop participants as they complete their own naturalization process. Meet them below and be sure to check back regularly for updates and fresh blog posts—or watch video testimonials from participants at a recent NAC workshop in New York City.
