Born in 1973, in Moscow, Sergey Brin developed the innovative Google search engine with his partner Larry Page while the pair were graduate students at Stanford University. The company has since grown into one of the largest technology concerns in the world, with more than 40,000 employees. Brin currently directs special projects, overseeing the secretive Google X division, dedicated to developing driverless cars and other ambitious, advanced technologies. As a philanthropist, he co-founded the Brin Wojcicki Foundation and has also donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
