Conductor Semyon Bychkov first attracted notice in the 1980s while serving as the music director of Michigan’s Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. He has since conducted many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. His style is recognized for its vision, clarity, and richness. His recording of Wagner’s Lohengrin won BBC Music Magazine’s Record of the Year in 2010.
