Fayez Sarofim

Known as “The Sphinx,” Fayez Sarofim is an investor who made his fortune investing in companies such as Philip Morris, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble. He is an original shareholder for Kinder Morgan, an energy transportation firm, and managed the Dreyfus Appreciation Fund. In 1997, he was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame. As a philanthropist, he has donated to hospitals, schools, and fine arts, and he sits on the board of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
