Eduardo Ochoa is the president of California State University, Monterey Bay. Appointed to the position in 2012, he has focused on raising the university’s retention and graduation rates, and led the effort to create a College of Business. Prior to that, Ochoa served under President Obama as assistant secretary for postsecondary education, advising the secretary on higher education issues. He was also provost and vice president for academic affairs at Sonoma State University.
