Carlos Gutierrez served as the thirty-fifth secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce, from 2005 to 2009. Appointed by President Bush, he was instrumental in the passage of landmark free trade agreements and he worked with foreign leaders to advance economic relationships with other nations. Prior to his government post, he was chairman and CEO of Kellogg Company, where he expanded the business and boosted profits. Currently, he serves as chairman of Albright Stonebridge Group.
