Tina Brown

From England | Journalist

After making an auspicious start as a young, award-winning journalist in England, Tina Brown went on to become one of the most famous editors in America, proving her knack for resuscitating the sales and stature of struggling magazines. She served as editor-in-chief of Tatler, a British society journal whose circulation she quadrupled; Vanity Fair, injecting a new sauciness into its image and boosting readership to over 1 million; and The New Yorker, whose circulation she increased by more than 30 percent. More recently, she launched the award winning digital news site The Daily Beast—which merged with Newsweek magazine—and her own firm, Tina Brown Media.
